response guidelines
The LSCoFD has Guidelines for responding to calls whether it be a fire alarm activation,MVA, Motor vehicle Fire or a structure fire.
Basic Guidelines
1. Should be at least a crew of three on each Apparatus.
2. Must have a higher ranking officer aboard the truck(Lieutenant, Captain, Chief)
3. Must only respond to the call if the Apparatus is called. If not stay at the firehouse
4. All members aboard the apparatus should be trained and able to operate all equipment
5. If there is an untrained member aboard the apparatus he is to stay in his seat in the truck and watch from inside.
6. Trained operators are the only people that should be driving.

Here is a list of typical responses for each apparatus. This is just a basic list. Of course these can change and the apparatus can respond to other runs but these are the basics that they will be called to.
